Kudos to Sarah Baird
The MathBabbler extends a "Kudos" to Sarah Baird for being named the 2009 Arizona Teacher of the Year. The Republic quoted Baird saying the following.
"I am on a mission to change the feeling of math from the
negative. We love it! It's fun! And kids, when I walk down
the hall, will yell, 'I love math!'" -- Sarah Baird
The Tucson Citizen quoted Phyllis Fassio, Baird's former math teacher at Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, saying the following about Baird.
"They call her 'the math girl' and they have so much fun with her
they don't even know they're learning math." -- Phyllis Fassio
Again, Kudos to Sarah Baird!
